We will be holding a Fundraiser Gala Banquet on Friday, November 6, 6:30-9:30 PM at Abernethy Center (606 15th Street, Oregon City) to raise funds for our school.
The great educational reformer, John Amos Comenius (1592-1670) wrote that “A good teacher, a good student, and good instruction increases learning mightily.” At Paideia we are striving to increase learning mightily as we provide an education that is vigorous, joyful, and—most of all—faithful.
We hold to the truths that children are made in the image of their Creator and that He delights in them. We believe students merit an education worthy of those truths. Our curriculum and teaching places special emphasis on reading and knowing the Bible and in responding to God through song and prayer. Everything taught at Paideia is seen through the lens of God’s Word.
Paideia also holds to the traditional approach to education, an approach common before the twentieth century that was cultivated by the church, grounded in piety, and governed by theology. The classical education of Paideia uses the historic curriculum and teaching methods of the seven liberal arts (grammar, logic, rhetoric, arithmetic, geometry, astronomy, and music) in order to form men and women characterized by wisdom, virtue, and eloquence. It is an education that is both vigorous and joyful.
As we help parents in their calling to bring up their children in the discipline and instruction of the Lord (the Greek word paideia), we are asking you to partner with us in this endeavor. Host a Table or Half Table
Join the festivities by purchasing a table of eight seats or a half table of four seats and invite a group of friends or family members who want to support Christian education to attend with you. Buffet menu includes dinner and beverages. The menu includes gluten-free and dairy-free options.
