Build Up One Another
Our vision to serve Christ’s body, the Church, by training Christian children to live their lives as acts of worship has never been small minded or easy. It requires sacrifice, dedication, and joyfulness. It also requires hard labor, many resources, and not a little charity.
If you would like to lend your hand to help us in our noble pursuits, if you would like to see schools that teach the paideia of the Lord flourishing, please consider supporting our Future Fund or Generosity Fund below.
On-line donations can be made below. Checks can be mailed to Paideia Classical Christian School, PO Box 676, Gladstone, Oregon 97027.
Do not neglect to do good and to share what you have, for such sacrifices are pleasing to God.
Paideia’s Future Fund
Our Future Fund is our main fundraising account designed to grow the school into the future and build upon what was first started with duct tape and good intentions. In this forward-looking account, we are planting the seeds of one day owning our own school building, we are watering our faculty with support beyond our normal budget, and we are cultivating a future school even better equipped to delight in Creation, practice joyful fellowship, and teach a love for knowledge and virtue.
If charity that builds the kingdom in very tangible ways appeals to you–if you like seeing noble and virtuous things being built with your money–this is a great opportunity to help us raise up the next generation of Christ-followers by giving them the school they need.
The point is this: whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that having all sufficiency in all things at all times, you may abound in every good work.
Our Generosity Fund is our primary way to give scholarships to those who don’t have the full means to pay for private education. Single moms, single dads, families who face job loss, families who are new to the West Coast’s cost of living, and large families with single incomes are the ones most often helped by our Generosity Fund.
Each year kindhearted and generous donors who heed Christ’s call to help the poor donate to this account. They equip Paideia so we have the means to have an open hand in enrollment.
As the scholarship requests come to us during enrollment, a scholarship team evaluates the means and needs of each request and then recommends a use of Generosity Funds to Paideia’s Board of Directors. The team can recommend up to 50% of tuition being covered by a scholarship. In practice, the fund usually does not have the means to give out a 50% tuition scholarships…the team can only give out what it has received. Yet, even so, a little goes a long way with generosity, and there are families who have been able to attend Paideia only because of the sustained giving of our Generosity Fund supporters.
If giving a family the hope and the means of finding a Christian school they can afford appeals to you, then this is the fund to join and support. You can use your hard earned money to help the fatherless and the stranger, and you can help guard Paideia from becoming an elitist school.
If among you, one of your brothers should become poor, in any of your towns within your land that the Lord your God is giving you, you shall not harden your heart or shut your hand against your poor brother, but you shall open your hand to him and lend him sufficient for his need, whatever it may be.
